Grand Jury Members, Past and Present, Speak to Redding Chapter Sons of the American Revolution
Our February Meeting included a presentation from Mr. Ray Frisbie and Mr. Dale Trudeau. These gentlemen have both served on the Shasta County Grand Jury and gave a very informative presentation regarding the duties and actions of the Grand Jury.
The Grand Jury is considered the watchdog of local government and serves a very important duty for our community.
Chapter President Compatriot Arlin Markham present both Jurors with a Certificate of Appreciation for sharing this information with our Chapter.

New Officers were installed at the January Meeting of the Redding Chapter Sons of the American Revolution.
Officers for the year 2009 are, left to right, Treasurer, Robert Young; Vice-President, Scott Young; President, Arlin Markham; Secretary, Robert Dunlap, Jr.; Registrar, Bill Doyle. Installing the officers was California State Genealogist Stan Henderson, thank you Mr. Henderson.
Wreaths Across America
The Chapter was busy in the month of December, participating in the Wreaths Across America event at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery.
The Chapter Color Guard, Col. Locke's Own, presented the Colors for a brief ceremony at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery on Saturday, December 13, 2008.
At the conclusion of the service, the Color Guard retired the Colors, and assisted in the placing of some 700 wreaths on the graves of our Veterans.
Participating Color Guard members include Compatriots George W. Bush, Robert Young, Scott Young, Gene Twyman, Bill Doyle and Robbie Mayfield.Thanks for all your efforts gentlemen.
